SDS for exporting chemicals

SDS (Safety Data Sheet) is required for exporting chemicals to the majority of countries. It’s developed in compliance with laws of the destination country/region. China, Japan, United States, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, etc have their own different regulations (and therefore their own standards). SDS doesn’t have to be registered (unlike Russian SDS).

SDS must be updated when new information related to chemicals’ safety is available or when regulation is changed. It is not sufficient to translate Russian SDS (GOST 30333) to English for exporting, as well as translating SDS into Russian for importing to Russia, since it is necessary to comply to national SDS development requirements.
